Quick Overview
Key features The Fluke 709H calibrator has an easy-to-understand interface with a Quick-Set encoder knob. It takes only a short time to measure or source voltage or current and power up the loop. The protective holster fits comfortably in a technician’s hand, and the large backlit display is easy to read in dark, cramped work areas. The 709H offers: Best-in-class accuracy of 0.01% of reading. Small, rugged design powered by six standard AAA batteries. Intuitive user interface with Quick-Set knob for fast setup and ease of use. Integrated selectable 250 Ω resistor for HART communication. 24 V DC loop power with mA Measure Mode (-25% to 125%). 1 µA resolution on the mA range and 1 mV on the voltage range. Simple two-wire connection for all measurements. Auto Shutdown to save battery life (adjustable up to 30 minutes). Variable step and ramp times in seconds. Adjustable measurement range selection (0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA). Valve Test (simulates specified mA values using the % keys). Special capabilities Quickly transfer calibration data. The 709H/Track software and cable record parameters from all HART transmitters at your plant in either .csv or .txt format. Data logging or recording on a specific transmitter for troubleshooting. The data logger provides selectable capture intervals from 1 to 60 seconds and logging capacity for 9,800 records or 99 individual sessions. Each data sample contains the 709H measurement, all four process variables, and standard status conditions. In communicator mode, users can read basic device information, perform diagnostic tests, and trim calibration on most HART-enabled transmitters. Previously, this could only be done with a dedicated communicator, high-end multifunction calibrator, or laptop computer with a HART modem. The Fluke 709H can be serviced by any technician and supports HART devices.
