TEST INSTRUMENTS

Test instruments and diagnostic test equipment let workers isolate problems, maintain vital processes, and solve problems before they interrupt their work or cause hazards in their facility. Industrial testing equipment such as infrared thermometers, pressure gauges, analog and digital multimeters, and indoor air quality testers are used to diagnose and fix problems in laboratories or industrial facilities.

Pressure and Vacuum Transmitter

Grainger offers pressure transmitters and vacuum transmitters for a variety of applications including water and wastewater, pulp and paper, oil and gas, or food and beverage. Choose from a wide range of output signals, ranges, and enclosures. Indicating transmitters measure the pressure or level of industrial liquids and gases. Compound transmitters measure plus and minus pressures of air and compatible gases. Use explosionproof differential transmitters for flow measurement, level monitoring, and filter or pump differential pressure applications. Explosionproof pressure transmitters are approved for use in hazardous or classified locations. Additional tools to gauge pressure include liquid level transmitter displays, submersible level transmitters (birdcage and bullet designs), and other accessories. Find it all at Grainger.

Pressure and Vacuum Measuring

Pressure and vacuum measuring devices measure pressure to help ensure vacuum systems are working properly. They are used in a range of industrial and commercial applications, including water and wastewater, pulp and paper, oil and gas, or food and beverage. Digital pressure meters measure hydraulic or pneumatic pressure in HVAC systems, medical equipment, and machine tools. Manometers also measure low positive, negative, or differential air and gas pressures in dust collection systems and HVAC filter banks. Pressure and vacuum gauges monitor the pressure of air and noncorrosive fluids in pumps, filters, compressors, regulators, and boilers. Pressure and vacuum test plugs provide access to fluids and gases in closed systems and gather samples without opening or depressurizing the system. Pressure and vacuum transmitters, or transducers, transmit a continuous signal to collect data and send it to a monitoring device.

Electrical Power Testing

Electrical power testing devices and supplies help ensure power systems and equipment operate reliably and safely, and reduce maintenance downtime. Digital multimeters measure voltage, current, and resistance in circuits, components, wall outlets, and other electrical devices and are ideal for field service work. Clamp meters measure the current draw in a live circuit to troubleshoot motors or other electrical equipment. Megohmmeters measure the electrical resistances of insulators such as cable jackets, electrical wires, and motor windings to determine current leakage and identify faulty or damaged insulation. Test leads connect electrical testing equipment to the device being tested to help provide safe and accurate test results. High voltage detectors and voltmeters are used to measure and monitor high voltage equipment to make sure current flow is at the correct levels.

Electronic/Bench Testing

Electronic/bench testing equipment and supplies simulate operating conditions and perform functional tests to see if devices are working correctly. Air ionizers and antistatic systems and supplies reduce static electricity to help ensure a safe environment for building and testing electronic devices. Bench, or benchtop, power supplies provide the correct voltages and currents to power circuits and devices when designing and troubleshooting equipment. Function generators produce precise signals with different types of electrical waveforms over a range of frequencies to help develop, test, and repair electronic equipment. Spectrum analyzers display the frequency spectrum and measure the channel power and occupied bandwidth of radio-frequency waves in cellular phones, radio transmitters, and radar systems.
